Fun but not very challenging. Once you unlock tanks, the strategy becomes "spawn tanks, then charge". I play on hard-mode and succeed without issue. I had the paid version of this app when I used to have an iPhone. I remembered to be much more challenging and the levels having much more variability. Things get monotonous in this version. Also, the perk progression is nice but lacking in depth. I would like different soldier types and perks for different countries. Multiplayer is also shallow.

I like it, the mobile gameplay loop is designed for 1 or 2 levels play and the ramping difficulty and enemy variety keeps the gameplay from becoming too stale. There needs to be a better explainers for some perks/upgrades however, e.g. does the spy's 'pilfer' steal coins passively, or are there prerequisites? What is the benefit of flamethrowers? Do they ignore cover? These need explainations in game, it only requires a tooltips equivalent

The game is fun, but it is hard to control the troop, sometimes you accidentally move your soldier by just swiping the screen and you don't have the option to command a whole group.
